e-Governance workshop in Namibia

Digital transformation of public services is a high priority for the Namibian Government. As such, they have requested an exchange with Estonian partners on their experience operationalising an interoperability platform, as well as on possible cooperation on wider e-governance topics.

On 27-28 March 2023, Estonia held a high-level visit to Namibia, led by H. E. Mrs Mariin Ratnik, Undersecretary for Economic and Development Affairs at the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the framework of this visit, the Estonian ICT Cluster, as part of the AU-EU D4D Hub's activities, organized a workshop on e-governance in Windhoek. The objectives were:

• Sharing knowledge and experiences on e-governance with the Namibian digital ecosystem and presenting Estonian expertise on digital transformation.
• Providing insights to guide Estonia-Namibia digital cooperation priorities, in synergy with other Team Europe initiatives.
