Dear participant,

If the past two years have taught us anything, it is how difficult it is to make plans in uncertain times and the importance of adjusting to unexpected turns of events.

In this spirit, we regret to inform you that the first Africa-Europe D4D Hub Multi-Stakeholder Forum, which was scheduled for the 10th of February 2022, will need to be postponed to March 2022.

Please rest assured, however, that we are working closely with the European Commission and the African Union Commission, the co-hosts of this Forum, to identify a suitable date and will shortly get back to you with more information.

For both the European Union and the African Union it is a priority to provide a space for stakeholders to make their voice heard on the challenges and ambitions of the AU-EU Digital Partnership and the way the D4D Hub can contribute to it.

That said, and in full regret for the unforeseen change, we would like to thank you once again for your meaningful contributions to the preparation of the Forum. All inputs provided will inform the discussions in the upcoming event.

In line with priorities shared by the European Union and the African Union, we remain committed to an open and inclusive dialogue with the digital community, and reiterate the importance in reconvening the Africa-Europe D4D Hub Multi-Stakeholder Forum within the shortest possible delay.

Kind regards,

Simone Conrad
